Dance of Time II, Salvador Dalí’s iconic melting clock sculpture, is the main attraction of the 2024 edition of “Art and Soul”. This important show-case of Modern and Contemporary international art is organized every year by Irish gallery group Gormleys Fine Art at prestigious locations in Ireland. The museum edition sculpture forms part of the world renowned Dalí Universe Collection and will be on view until June 23rd 2024.
The luxurious Castlemartyr Resort Hotel and the ancient Celtic castle of Castlemartyr provide a stunning backdrop. The carefully curated 2024 “Art and Soul” exhibition promises to provide a captivating experience for art-lovers.
Gormley Group President, and exhibition curator Oliver Gormley, commented: “Dance of Time II is one of Dalí’s most iconic pieces. Dalí believed that while time is crucial to us individually, its significance in the past and future is relative”.
The sculpture embodies the fluidity of time, portraying it as dancing to the universe’s rhythm.
“Art and Soul” features over 300 works from leading international and Irish artists. The 220-acre grounds of the 17th-century manor estate will host an outdoor exhibition of 90 large sculptures and installations. Inside the hotel, visitors can admire 100 artworks by famous artists such as Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Giacinto Bosco, and Patrick Rubinstein.
